Information to be Provided in an Emergency Call

  1. Location -- Room #, Atwood Hall or C. Emerson Hall.What is happening: Flame and/or smoke. Describe it.
  2. Describe odor of gas. Are there injuries?
  3. What was spilled or what is burning. Flammable liquids?
    Combustibles?, Acids?, Toxic substances etc. Describe what is involved and in what amounts. Describe potential for spreading.
  4. Name of caller.
  5. Stay on phone until dispatcher hangs up.
