At an awards ceremony on August 21, 2006 Professor Joel Bowman presented Zhen Xie with the 2006 Quayle Fellowship plaque and check. The Quayle Fellowships were established in honor of Dr. Osborne Robinson Quayle, chairman of the department of chemistry from 1950 - 1954. Congratulations, Zhen!
