Our manuscript detailing Kelly's, former undergraduate researcher, work to design a novel and widely accessible microfluidic mixer has been accepted by the Royal Society of Chemistry's journal Lab on a Chip. Look for "A Simple Three-Dimensional-Focusing, Continuous-Flow Mixer for the Study of Fast Protein Dynamics" in a future issue.

We want to welcome our newest graduate student, Ban-Seok (Sam) Jeong, to the lab. Sam will be working on the solar fuels project.

Caitlin and Kat present posters at the 57^th annual Biophysical Society Meeting in Philadelphia. Cailtin presented "Dynamics and Mechanism of Membrance Induced Folding of a Small β-Hairpin" in the Membrane Active Peptides and Toxins session. Kat presented "Recombinant Site Specific Labeling of Proteins with IR Probes".

Brandon, Caitlin, Erin, and Kat attend the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS) in Raleigh, NC. Brandon presented the talk "Quantum dots as tools for catalytic initiation of hydrogenases and multi-electron enzyme reduction" in the Energy and Fuels section. Caitlin presented the talk "Heterogeneity in fast folding β-proteins" in the Physical Chemistry section. Erin presented the poster "Dynamics of MpX insertion into model membrane vesicle bilayers" in the Biochemistry section.

Other research groups involved are the groups of Robert Callender (Albert Einstein College of Medicine), Vern Schramm (Albert Einstein College of Medicine), and Steven Schwartz (University of Arizona).
