Bicelles, Disks, and
Domains

We are working to understand the self-assembly and ordering of disk-like
aggregates such as have been described in "bicelle" mixtures of the lipids DMPC
and DHPC. One representation of theses systems is a collection of flat
polygonal objects, whose number, size and shape will vary in response to
equilibrium conditions. Some snapshots from preliminary simulations are
shown here.
